Woodstock had been only three months earlier. The Stones ready to take the road for the 1969 US Tour.

Unexpectedly, Mick came out of a back room and asked me if I wanted to join the tour. Well, yes. They needed a group shot but they wouldn't move. This was take as the sun was slowly getting weaker. Below the clouds behind them is the LA basin.
